Hartest Parish Council
meetings usually take place on the first Wednesday of every other
month, in January, March, May, July, September and November.
They are usually held in The Institute at 7.00pm. Other
meetings may take place at other times. All meetings are
advertised on the village notice board and on this web site.
All Parish Council
meetings are public meetings and everyone is welcome to
attend. Hartest voters also have an opportunity to speak to
The Council on any matter relating to the village. This
opportunity is usually given at the beginning of each meeting and
each speaker is allowed up to 3 minutes. If you raise or comment on a topic which is on the
agenda for that meeting, Councillors will be able to take
account of your views when that subject is discussed although you
will not be able to have any further input yourself. If you
speak on a matter which is not on the current meeting agenda, your
topic will not be discussed at that council meeting, but the
Council may consider including it at a future meeting.
You can also raise
matters of concern at any time with one of your Councillors.
In this way, they can act as your voice on the council and ensure that your
views are made known.
